Monica Odle

Monica is one of the founding principals of HOWES INC with 34 years of domestic and international banking experience. She brings wide ranging technical and management experience to the business having benefited from extensive exposure to regional and international markets. 

Monica has made significant contributions in the area of project work and training assignments in technical banking and supervisory management. Other areas of expertise include operational risk management, compliance, and international trade finance with special emphasis on letters of credit.

Her rich career experience has included secondment to a UK bank.  Additionally, Monica spent 7 years in the International Banking Sector during which time relationships were forged with Key Business Influencers whilst managing portfolios of major corporate clients. Her related affiliation with the Canada Barbados Business Association (CBBA) occasioned annual visits to Canada together with other group members, to promote the Barbados International Business Sector.

Monica's facilitation of learning and development initiatives throughout the Caribbean exceeds 10 years. She is a qualified trainer, having received extensive trainer training in Barbados and the U.K.  Monica is certified in Competence-Based Training and Assessment and also possesses the National Vocational Qualification of Jamaica (NVQ-J) in Assessment Level 4.

Monica holds the M.Sc. degree in Financial Services Management from the University of Surrey, Guildford, UK and is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers UK (ACIB).
